BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT 2026 AT NYAMALANGO PRIMARY SCHOOL-MWANZA (Ongoing)

Project Overview
Commemorating the 2nd Anniversary of African Child Comforters Organization (ACCO), our youth-led team successfully executed the "Back to School" initiative. This project was designed to bridge the gap in education access for the most vulnerable children in our community, ensuring that poverty is not a barrier to the classroom.
The Challenge & Our Response
In the Nyamalango area, many families struggle to afford the mandatory requirements for school enrollment. As a youth-led organization, ACCO took the lead in mobilizing resources to provide high-quality school uniforms and essential learning materials.

Our Focus on Education and Inclusion: We placed a special emphasis on children with disabilities, ensuring they received tailored support and materials that accommodate their specific learning and mobility needs.

Our Impact
100% Every child at Nyamalango Primary School received comprehensive training on their Right to Education and their value as members of society from Sheria Zetu Consultant
Full Uniform Kits: 7 Children (prioritizing those with the greatest need, including children with disabilities) received complete school uniforms to ensure a dignified return to school.
Essential School Bags: 5 Students were equipped with durable school bags to protect their learning materials.
Exercise Books: 50 Students received a full set of exercise books to support their academic year.
Inclusive Focus: Dedicated outreach and specialized support were provided to ensure children with disabilities were prioritized for full school requirements.

The Back-to-School Initiative is an ongoing annual program conducted every January to ensure vulnerable children start the academic year prepared, confident, and included.
